Residential Dumpster Rental

Why should I rent a dumpster?
After any large home renovation project or landscaping, there is often a sizable amount of debris to dispose of. Renting a dumpster is the fastest and easiest solution to this problem. Yes, you could fill up the garbage can every week for a few months. You could also take 4-16 trips to the dump in a pickup truck, possibly wait in line each time, and get rid of the trash that way. Or, you could let us take care of it in one step at a modest price, leaving your home and yard clean and without a pile of trash to throw away someday. Even for a large scale clean-out, you usually don’t need a building permit to rent a dumpster if it’s placed on your property (rather than the street). Contact Dumpster Rental of Kent today to discuss your project with one of our experts and arrange the ideal container and schedule for your home needs.

Tips For Efficient Loading
  1. If loading heavy material (rock, gravel, etc), spread evenly over the floor of the dumpster. Make sure not to load heavy materials entirely on one side or the container since this will unbalance the dumpster and become unsafe.
  2. Break-down and disassemble larger items so they take up less space, this may also save you money by not needing a larger container.
  3. Start loading the dumpster at the front (the closed end) and work your way backward. This way, you don’t have to step over anything while loading. Fill in empty spaces with smaller trash items.
  4. Make sure all debris is below the top rail and not overloaded.
  5. If keeping the container overnight, make sure to securely latch the gate to keep animals and children out of the dumpster.

Safety Tips
  1. Wear safety equipment (boots, long pants, gloves, goggles) to prevent injuries.
  2. If working with others, ensure good communication, especially if one person is inside the dumpster, make sure someone else isn’t throwing things down on them.
  3. Keep pets and small children away from the dumpster and worksite.
  4. Check with our team about any hazardous material disposal, for your safety and per municipal code, many materials can’t be disposed of in a regular dumpster.
  5. During your cleanup process and after we pick up the dumpster, check the area for any stray nails or screws.
